About Gut Clues

Our Story
Exploring the Gut-Brain Connection
When our young son began to face speech delays, neurological symptoms, and unpredictable regressions, we knew something deeper was going on. Standard answers didn’t fit, and progress was fragile. As a researcher with a PhD—but not a medical doctor—I turned to what I know best: evidence, patterns, and data. That led us to explore the critical links between gut health, immune function, and the brain. Along the way, we discovered how easily key clues are missed—especially if a child is taken off gluten before proper testing. This site was created to share what we’ve learned. If you're facing unexplained symptoms, regression, or developmental delays in your child, there may be clues hiding in the gut too.
Our mission is to provide guidance and support to families who are navigating unexplained symptoms, regressions, or developmental delays in their children. We believe that understanding the intricate connection between gut health, immune function, and neurological wellness is crucial in uncovering hidden clues and fostering progress. Through our research-based approach, we aim to empower parents with the knowledge and resources to address these challenges effectively.
Our Approach
We believe that progress starts with listening closely—to our children and to the data. Our approach blends personal experience with scientific research, focusing on the often-overlooked connections between the gut, immune system, and brain.
We don’t claim to have all the answers. But we ask the right questions. We track symptoms carefully, look for patterns over time, and rely on testing—not guesswork—to guide decisions.
We also recognize that every child is different. That’s why we don’t promote one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, we offer tools, resources, and questions to bring to your medical team—so you can become an informed partner in your child’s care.
This is a parent-driven, evidence-informed path. Gentle, curious, and persistent.
